Biography

Dr. Choi is the Chief of Neurosurgery and Director of Spine Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin Green Bay. Dr. Choi specializes in complex and minimally invasive spinal surgery, in addition to image-guided and minimally invasive cranial surgery. Being a neurosurgeon-engineer, he has a special interest in combining engineering and neurosurgery to perform translational research in spine biomechanics, computational simulations, virtual reality, biomaterials, artificial disc technology, and robotic surgery.

“As a neurosurgeon, I have a passion for what I do. I find it fascinating that I am able to use the latest technology to make a big impact in quantity and quality of life. It is my goal to review the condition and have a conversation with each patient to understand how it is impacting their life. Then as a team, we can personalize the approach for treating the condition to best meet their individual needs.”
