Lori Duesing is a nationally certified Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner on the Neurosurgery team at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. She earned her undergraduate degree from Marquette University, where she majored in nursing and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Since 2003, she has worked at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin as a registered nurse in the acute and intensive care units. She received graduate and post-master’s certification training from Marquette University with graduation in 2011.
Lori’s practice involves caring for patients before and after general pediatric neurosurgery, as well as brain tumors, craniosynostosis, epilepsy, spasticity, and spine tumors. She ensures her patients are well informed prior to a procedure, during their hospitalization, and at routine follow-up appointments. Lori ensures her patients are well cared for by providing quality and compassion care. Lori has published peer-reviewed articles and has presented to audiences at the local level. She is persistent in reviewing and reading the literature.
Lori is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She sees patients in the Neurosurgery clinic at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, located in our specialty clinics building.
Outside of the workplace, Lori enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as outdoor actvities and exploring new restaurants around town.
