Karla Zilinski is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with the Department of Neurosurgery. Karla was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alverno College in 2007 and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Concordia University in 2014. She became board certified in 2015 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to obtaining her advanced practice degree, she practiced bedside nursing in the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit for several years.
Karla is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She sees patients in the preoperative and postoperative setting, as well as the inpatient setting. She seeks to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care to neurosurgical patients and their families. She enjoys being involved in all aspects of patients’ care and understands that this is a challenging time in many patients’ lives. Karla enjoys developing relationships with her patients and seeks to help patients better understand their complex neurosurgical diagnoses.
In her free time, Karla loves spending time with her husband and children, enjoying outdoor activities, and exploring all that Milwaukee has to offer.
